The interior of the BMW X5 Protection VR6 offers intuitive ease of use and maximum comfort. Colours, leathers, fine-wood trims: with the BMW X5 Protection VR6, you have almost limitless design possibilities. As you would expect, a large number of options from the BMW Individual range are included in these.

The BMW Live Cockpit Plus with BMW Curved Display includes a high-quality display network. It combines a fully digital 12.3" instrument panel with a 14.9" control display that can be operated by touch. 

The automatic air conditioning with 4-zone control offers individual air conditioning on the front seats and on the left and right seats in the rear.  A nanoparticle filter improves the air quality for both fresh air and recirculating air. The rear passengers can adjust their own climate individually via a separate controller.

The optional comfort seats¹ for driver and front passenger can be electrically adjusted in a variety of ways and provide a perfect seating position for a relaxed arrival.

The massage function¹ for driver and passenger improves the physical wellbeing by stimulating or relaxing the muscles.

The active seat ventilation^1,2 at the front, provides cool and pleasant seat temperatures, resulting in a more comfortable driving experience – even under hot conditions.

The M Leather steering wheel, including multifunction buttons and an integrated driver-side airbag features the three-spoke design. With a steering wheel rim in leather 'Walknappa' black with stitching in sporty M colours and contoured thumb rests, it provides a direct, athletic steering experience.

The BMW X5 Protecion VR6 offers high seating comfort, for four persons, incuding generous leg space. And the divider offers a comfortable sense of space, without compromising the safety.

The security glazing in the BMW X5 Protection VR6 is made of a security glass laminate. The polycarbonate coating on the inside prevents spalling. It offers protection not just against attacks with blunt instruments and handguns, but also against the world’s most widely used firearm, the AK-47.

BMW uses moulded parts in the BMW X5 Protection VR6 which precisely follow the contours of the standard model. This way, all the normal airbags can be incorporated, without the cabin feeling any less spacious.

Sit here, and you know you’re safe: the edges of the doors, the places where windows meet frames and the joins between body panels are some of the most vulnerable areas of the vehicle to gunfire. But in the BMW X5 Protection VR6, these areas are reinforced with steel armour, ensuring that neither bullets nor splinters can penetrate the passenger compartment.

The electronic driver aids and suspension settings have been modified to ensure optimum driving dynamics with the extra weight of the armour.

The Self-Sealing Fuel Tank is able to reseal itself after it received damage. This prevents leaking of fuel.

Driver and passengers of the BMW X5 Protection VR6 are protected by a 30 mm multi-layerd safety glass. The glass is coated with an additional polycarbonate splinter protection layer.

All-round safety – the standard underbody splinter protection guards you from attacks with DM51 (Doppelladung) hand grenades. As an option, the underbody splinter guard can also be reinforced against attacks with the hand grenade HG85. An optionally available, stronger armoured roof, made of safety steel and fibre composite materials, offers certified protection against drone attacks with fragmentation charges (testing equipment DTG5 200 g C4 and >500 steel fragment) in addition to the ballistic protection, that is installed as standard.

The special signal equipment¹ includes a detachable rotating beacon, front flashing lights in the kidney grille and a sound sequence signal. All operating elements are pooled at the control unit in front of the gear selector switch.

The front side window on the driver’s side has an electric power window as quipment. This equipment is also available for the passenger side.

To attach official flags at the car’s left or right side, pennant holders¹ are available.

The Soft-Close function pulls the slightly-open door shut automatically and nearly silently.

Better sight, better visibility, more safety. The adaptive LED headlights with matrix technology automatically adapt to any driving situation. Anti-glare high beam, curve-adaptive headlights and cornering lights provide high visibility even in difficult situations. Visual highlight: Daytime driving lights and turn signals in dynamic arrow shape.

Tidy and practical: The wireless charging tray¹. The extended tray area offers room even for larger devices – within reach and without the inconvenience of covers or cables. For maximum safety, the in-built cooling function protects your device from overheating.
